Eric Johnson is a cook and food-writer specializing in the stories behind the foods we eat. He distils his imagination into easy-going prose and inspiringly simple recipes that really work. He writes during the day and cooks all night, seeking to capture the essence of the next story.
He wrote his first cooking short story at age forty when he discovered writing about food was way easier than actually having to do the dishes. After quitting his job to be a stay at home dad, he started his own salsa business, counseled parents who wondered what their kids would eat as a culinary advisor, and became an administrator for the Facebook writing group 10 Minute Novelists. 10 Minute Novelists was named by Writer’s Digest as one of the Top 100 Sites for Writers in 2016!
He has also written the first two novels in science fiction trilogy, The Saga of Tom Stinson, with the third book coming soon.
Though he’ll forever be a Michigander at heart, he now lives in California with his wife and two children. If he’s not working on his latest cooking story, you can find him reading, or indulging in his unhealthy addiction of eating hot peppers.
