Create A Learning Environment

Create a learning station for your child. If they can’t reach the counter give them a chair or stool to stand on. Gather the needed ingredients measure them out together and have the ingredients at the ready. This is called Mise en place. Mise en place is a French phrase which means “putting in place”, as in set up. Demonstrate to your child how to perform the tasks at hand. Take the time step by step. Every time you take your child into the kitchen with you it opens a whole new world.

  1. Wonderful way to bond with children and grandchildren. I agree. I involved my children too. Now it is time to involve the grandchildren but they don’t live with me or near enough. Thank you for stopping by my blog and the like. Like yours back!
